Salford will look to continue their excellent start to the campaign when they face take on a struggling Catalans Dragons side.
The Red Devils will look to record their ninth win from ten Super League games as they face a Catalans team that is struggling in eighth place in the table – and parted company with Head Coach Laurent Frayssinous following their fourth consecutive league defeat.
Understandably, the Red Devils are the favourites and are 1/4 with most bookmakers. Catalans are 7/2 with Bet365 and have been given a +12 start in the majority of outlets.
That seems fair enough, given Salford don’t tend to blow sides away at home this season, but they are up against a side that habitually leaks in excess of 20 points per game. Salford -12 at Evens with William Hill is something we’ll back as it looks appealing – though beware of a side that gets their act together following a change of coach.
Jerome Guisset, Michael Monaghan and Alex Chan have taken charge of first team responsibilities for the Dragons for the time being.
There doesn’t seem to be anything too spectacular in the winning margin market. It seems as though many have picked up the patterns of both sides pretty well, but Salford by 16-20 points at 13/2 with William Hill is the one most worth backing if you’re after a winning margin bet.
