This could be one of the most intriguing games to watch this weekend as Wakefield continue to impress in the Super League this season – and they come up against a Huddersfield side that is showing real signs of improvement.
Wakefield climbed up into fifth place following Magic Weekend and have shown signs they could achieve a top eight finish this season. Their home record is pretty good – no-one who visits Belle Vue this season seems to be getting an easy game.
Huddersfield have shown signs of improvement winning two of their last three games and will look to take another big scalp here – though they’ll have to do it without Danny Brough who is serving the second game of a two-match suspension.
The bookmakers make Trinity 1/2 favourites to win. Huddersfield are available at 15/8 and have been given a +6 start on the handicap.
Wakefield are Evens to cover that handicap with William Hill, and it’s one we fancy – though it could be a nervous wait given the Giants improvement in recent weeks.
As for margin of victory, Wakefield by 6-10 points at 5/1 would seem to make a lot of sense on the statistics, but as for their recent trend of winning by 20+ points, they are 14/1 to win by 21-25 points – which feels like it’s worth a small go.
