Huddersfield can ensure their place in the top eight with a win over bottom side Leigh on Friday.
Rick Stone’s side have been playing some good stuff for the best part of three months now and come up against a side that has conceded 90 points over the course of their last two games.
Leigh have shown they can get the better of sides on their day. They won the reverse fixture 30-0 and have beaten St. Helens, Wigan, Warrington and Hull over the course of the season so they’re not to be taken lightly.
Two changes have been made to the Giants’ 19-man squad. Martyn Ridyard is unable to face his parent club and drops out along with Gene Ormsby, with Sam Wood and Sebastine Ikahihifo both coming in.
Even with those changes, they are still firm favourites. Huddersfield are best priced 2/9 while you can get Leigh at 4/1. The Centurions have also been given a 14-point start on the handicap. Despite their defensive frailties over the past couple of weeks, that looks to be priced up fairly. They’ll want to tighten up but an Evens bet on Huddersfield to cover it with BetWay looks tempting, and we might just favour the Giants with that bet.
But as for your margin of victory bet, a 16-20 points win for the Giants at 5/1 would be worth a small go.
